Martin Nievera and his twin sister, Victoria Nievera were born February 5, 1962 in Manila, Philippines to Conchita Razon and Bert Nievera, singer for the band Society of Seven. Martin spent most of his childhood in Hawaii with his father but returned to the Philippines in 1982 to pursue his own singing career. In June of the same year he released his first album which was wildly successful.

Martin co-hosted the TV show "Penthouse Live!" in the 1980s with Pops Fernandez. Martin later married Pops, and had two children, Ram and Robin. The marriage ended in 1998, driving Martin to write new songs about the failed relationship. These gathered a massive following for the raw emotion in the lyrics.

February of 2008 found Martin holding his 25th anniversary concert in honor of his music and his fans.

Martin Nievera now lives in Las Vegas with Katrina Ojeda, with whom he has a son, Santino. He continues to tour and sing, bringing the beloved songs of his past along with newer creations to people all over the world.
