Born in 1992, Charmaine Clarice Pempengco, this self trained Philippines singer has grown in popularity over the years. Getting her start locally at singing competitions and then through a show similar to American Idol in her home country, the singer also participated in several television commercials.

After a brief moment of fame her popularity fell off until a fan started posting her videos to YouTube, where she became an overnight internet sensation. The singer originally found fame in countries such as Korea and Sweden, but soon made her way to the United States on popular television shows such as "Ellen Degeneres Show", "The Today Show" and "Oprah".

She has released two albums of the pop and R&B persuasion. A self titled first album named "Charice", released in May 2008, which eventually went platinum, and a second album released in 2009 titled "My Inspiration".

This young prodigy has been asked to perform all over the world including several post oscar parties, pre-inauguration ceremonies, major league baseball games and for royals and dignitaries in her home country and abroad. Her talent has brought honor and fame to her home country of the Philippines and has created a new awareness for rising stars of her kind.
